A man is facing further charges after officers say he drove himself, while impaired, to a Pickering police station to complain about a prior arrest.

Police received a disturbance call Tuesday morning from a restaurant near Brock Road and Rossland Road. The man was arrested for being intoxicated in public and refusing to leave when asked.Shortly after, the man allegedly drove himself to West Division to speak with a supervisor. Officers say he still showed signs of alcohol impairment. He then failed a breath test and was arrested again.

The man, 42, from Ajax, has been charged with operation while impaired . Police did not release his name.An impaired driver drove to the West Division police station to complain about being arrested earlier for causing a disturbance and being intoxicated in public.
