A 60-year-old man has died after reportedly falling overboard from a Stena Line ferry in Scotland. Stena Line has since cancelled a number of sailings to and from Belfast.
A man has died after he reportedly falling overboard from a Stena Line ferry. The 60-year-old entered the water at Loch Ryan Port, Cairnryan in south-west Scotland at around 7.15am this morning.
"Emergency services attended and a 60-year-old man was recovered from the water. He died a short time later. Enquiries are ongoing but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. Following the incident, Stena Line has cancelled a number of sailings to and from Belfast, while later sailings are currently listed as "in doubt" on its website.
