A judge found that Maurio Salehi was angry and jealous when he fatally stabbed his former partner and the new man in her life and has sentenced him to life with no parole for 20 years.
A Richmond man who pleaded guilty to murdering his former partner and the new man in her life has been sentenced to life in prison with no parole eligibility for 20 years.
She and Faktorovski had connected with each other on the internet at some point in 2015 and had travelled together in Europe for two weeks in May 2015. Salehi secretly took photos of Gabalis and Faktorovski, a Russian-born man who later immigrated to Israel, and sent her a number of unanswered texts and made several phone calls indicating that he was angry and jealous.
After changing out of his bloody clothes and washing the victims’ blood off of him, Salehi placed the clothes in a garbage bag and fled the scene. He discarded the clothes and Gabalis’s phone on his way back home to Richmond.
