A man has been charged for allegedly producing $10 million worth of drugs in labs across western Sydney.

The arrest comes after a large-scale police operation - consisting of specialist police, technical forensic support and firefighters - dismantled an alleged clandestine lab in Rhodes in April.A man has been charged for allegedly producing meth in labs across inner west Sydney. On Thursday last week, officers stopped and searched a Mercedes sedan on Averill Street in Rhodes and allegedly found four litres of precursor, a gas mask and electronic devices.

The driver, a 35-year-old man, was made to do a roadside drug test and allegedly returned a positive result for meth.Later that same day, police said they raided a home in North Ryde where they allegedly found a second lab also producing meth.The 35-year-old man was charged after police allegedly uncovered a second drug lab. "All drugs seized between both labs has an estimated street value of over $10 million," police said.

The 35-year-old man was then charged with two counts of manufacturing a large commercial prohibited drug, two counts of supplying a large commercial prohibited drug, two counts of driving while disqualified, two counts of entering drug premises and possessing ID info to commit an indictable offence.Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
