Undercover officers stopped to speak with the driver of a red Mercedes at a petrol station on the M4 at Eastern Creek yesterday as part of preventative control.

Police approached the car when passenger Maika Ufi got out and allegedly struck an officer before attempting to run away.A man has been caught on CCTV allegedly punching a police officer at a petrol station in Eastern Creek. "The man was detained by police following a short foot pursuit; however, continued to punch and kick officers," NSW Police said.He was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with assaulting an officer, resisting arrest and possessing housebreaking implements.He was refused bail at Blacktown Local Court today.
