51-year-old caught last night on an outstanding warrant, two months after alleged crime
Sault police have charged a 51-year-old man who allegedly tried to pawn a stolen bicycle two months ago.
At around 8 p.m. last night, officers were dispatched to a disturbance complaint in the 100 block of Albert Street East, where they encountered a man who had a warrant out for his arrest. Police allege that on April 20, the man attempted to pawn a bike that had been reported stolen five days earlier. Jason Boyer is charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. Released on an appearance notice, he is scheduled back in court on August 14, 2023.
None of the allegations against Boyer have been tested in court and he is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
