STEPHEN, N.B. — Police in St. Stephen, N.B., have arrested a 36-year-old man after fake American money was used to buy items from a local business.

RCMP received reports from businesses in the area on Aug. 25 of a man using counterfeit American bills to purchase items.Police said they also seized $540 in counterfeit bills and the property bought using the fake money.The investigation is ongoing.
