A man has been arrested after allegedly using an e-scooter to mow down an elderly woman on Friday night.
Police have arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with an e-scooter hit-and-run that led to an 81-year-old Collingwood fan being rushed to hospital.
The man told her to keep to the left of the footpath but Ms Hatch stood her ground, telling the e-scooter rider he was on a vehicle that shouldn’t be on ridden on the footpath. “As the woman walked away, she was allegedly struck from behind by the e-scooter, causing her to fall to the ground and lose consciousness,” Victoria Police said in a statement.Ms Hatch was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“I hope he feels ashamed, absolutely, at what he’s done,” Mr Hatch said during a police press conference on Tuesday.
