Edmund Zachary Ong Wei Ming admitted that he knew his guests were taking drugs. SINGAPORE: During the COVID-19 pandemic, when gatherings were limited to five people, two men hosted a drug-fuelled birthday party for 34 guests at their shared home.

One of the two hosts, 33-year-old Singaporean Edmund Zachary Ong Wei Ming, pleaded guilty on Monday to three charges of permitting his unit to be used for drug consumption, consuming a drug and permitting others to enter the unit for a birthday celebration during the pandemic. Some also took ecstasy tablets. Ong said he knew that his guests were consuming drugs and allowed it to continue.

After his arrest, Ong gave two urine samples, which were found to contain norketamine, also known as K.
