Arrested by Sault police, 24-year-old suspect remains in custody pending a bail hearing
At around 1 p.m. on July 7, Sault police were dispatched to a report of a sexual assault on Canal Drive.
“Shortly after arriving, officers were approached by another victim who reported they had just been sexually assaulted while walking on Whitefish Island,” says a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. “While investigating, a third victim approached officers to report that they were also a victim of the same accused. That incident had occurred on a different date and location.
