app. Implemented in phases, the appointment system would be available at all government dental clinics in Melaka and Penang in phase 1.
Meanwhile, phase 2 will commence in May 2023, whereby the appointment system would be expanded to all government dental clinics nationwide. In a Facebook post, MOH asserted that the new MySejahtera appointment system would help decrease waiting times for patients getting dental services at health or dental clinics. Afterwards, your appointment slot would be reserved. MOH advises customers to make sure to attend according to the appointment time designated.
Do note that you can only book an appointment for a dental health checkup. At the first appointment, you will be given appropriate dental treatment after examination and if follow-up treatment is required, the dental clinic will give the next appointment. Moreover, you don’t need to book an appointment for a dental emergency. Instead, you can directly go to your nearest dental clinic without making a reservation. The below are considered dental emergencies by MOH:
