PORT DICKSON: The Malaysian Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV2.0) is expected to contribute up to 15% to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) once all plans in the development are completed in 2045, says Datuk Dr Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek.

The state investment, industrialisation, education, entrepreneurship and human capital committee chairman said to achieve this, support from the Federal Government is crucial.

"MVV2.0 has been designed to drive the growth of Negri and it includes six development parcels," he said at the launch of the Catalyst Projects for MVV2.0 by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Mohamad Rafie said Parcel C spanning 6,221ha, known as NS Aerospace Valley is planned to be a dynamic and integrated aerospace industrial hub in Malaysia and the Asian region.Parcel D, to be known as the Integrated Maritime Hub and Coastal Corridor, encompasses the entire state waters within a three-nautical mile and is planned to develop the maritime industry in Port Dickson.

"This area will be developed as a semiconductor industry hub. We have so far received two proposals for the development of the semiconductor industry worth RM35bi," he said. "We also have an MOU with the China National Aerotechnology International Engineering Corporation for the development of real estate and infrastructure in the NSAV area with a total investment of RM5.81bi.
