That may be the case right now as it appears that the Malaysian Immigration Department’s official website got hacked earlier today .Earlier this morning at 9:40am, the Malaysian Immigration Department posted on its social media accounts earlier today to notify the public that the website was under maintenance.

As seen in the screenshot above, if you were to type and search the Malaysian Immigration Department, the wordscan be seen written below the link to the official website. At the time of writing, there is currently no information on who CaptainSmok3r is or how they managed to bypass security to be able to hack the government website.However, the hacker left a message to reassure people that they were only doing this for fun.

Due to this incident, visitors have not been able to access the website for any purpose so far. Netizens responded to the “maintenance” post after discovering what actually happened. Some found the whole thing humorous while others were concerned and questioned the department’s security system. The Malaysian Immigration Department has yet to release a statement regarding the situation.

This wasn’t the only website that was allegedly hacked as it was also brought to our attention that the National Heart Institute ’s website was also hacked. If you click on the website you’d be redirected to an unknown shoe shop website. The institute also has yet to address the situation. In the meantime, do not attempt to purchase anything from the redirected website.
