However, Awang Askandar, 56, died in the ascent just before reaching the summit of Mount Everest, which is 8,848m above sea level. "With a helicopter, the search can be done in about 45 minutes and I hope Muhammad Hawari can be found immediately," she said. "I was told that the sherpa fell asleep for about an hour but on waking, Muhammad Hawari was not in the tent and he tried to look for him around Camp 4 but could not find him," she said.
