PETALING JAYA: Negri Sembilan will face Johor Darul Ta’zim in the Malaysia Cup quarter-final after beating Kelantan United 5-2 on aggregate in the Round of 16.
After taking a slim 1-0 lead in the first-leg, the Deers were much better in the second when they beat the east coast side 4-2 at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi on Sunday .
Negri’s goals were scored by Brazilian striker Casagrande in the eighth minute, midfielder R. Barath Kumar , Myanmar winger Hein Htet Aung and Spanish striker Youssef Ezzejjari . Kelantan United’s goals were scored by Filipino winger OJ Porteria in the fourth minute and striker Indra Putra Mahayuddin .
Pahang also booked a spot in the quarter-final after beating Harini 5-2 on aggregate. They will take on Kuala Lumpur in the quarter-final.
