State Tourism, Heritage, Arts and Culture Committee chairman Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman said the move is to ensure all hotels in Malacca maintain the quality and cleanliness of accommodation offered to visitors. “For example, there are hotels with three- or four-star ratings, but their level of service does not match the ratings given to them,” he told reporters at a Raya open house in Telok Mas last night.Razak also said the state government, through the Malacca Museum Corporation, is upgrading four museums in the state to better serve tourists.
