The local government unit (LGU) of Makati City on Wednesday warned residents, who are qualified for the financial aid of the city, of scammers trying to get their G-Cash personal details.
Makati City is currently distributing P5,000 cash assistance to its resident affected by the economic impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
It has come to the attention of the city government that text messages and e-mails were sent to some residents, trying to obtain personal details that can be used to access the residents’ accounts.
