DoubleTree by Hilton KL is doing its part to encourage local food sourcing and to reduce food waste through its Eco-Epicurean Buffet.
KUALA LUMPUR: Being a multicultural country, Malaysia has a lot to offer when it comes to food. And many of the herbs and spices found right here in the country produce some of the most flavourful dishes known in this part of the region.
“To reduce our carbon footprint when transporting the raw ingredients, we choose to use local suppliers within an 80km radius from the hotel itself,” food and beverage manager Vincent Liew told FMT Lifestyle during a media preview of the buffet recently.Fresh sizzling prawns are on the menu, with a variety of sauces to choose from.
The noodle station is yet another crowd-pleaser with heaps of bihun, kuey teow and yellow noodles ready to be enjoyed with either flavourful chicken soup or rich curry laksa.
