The H&M at Metrotown mall will be closed for a rebuild, but the Brentwood locations will remain open.
Metropolis at Metrotown shoppers will have to find another fashion retailer to get the latest pre-spring looks, as the mall’s H&M has closed for the season.
The Swedish fashion giant confirmed the Metrotown store “has closed temporarily for a rebuild,” an H&M media relations spokesperson told the NOW in an emailed statement. “Assessing and reviewing our store portfolio to adapt to changing customer behavior is something that we have done ever since we opened our first store. We are constantly looking at our store portfolio and looking at stores that may be older to update and renovate.”There are no plans for renovating the H&M location at the Brentwood mall location, which remain open, according to the company.
Meanwhile, the former H&M space at Lougheed Town Centre is being turned into a temporary public library and community centre, as Cameron Library prepares to close for redevelopment.
