Tens of thousands of passengers flying for the Easter long weekend will not face disruptions at airports as firefighters agreed to delay industrial action.

It would mean airlines would not be able to operate services from the public holiday - one of the busiest periods of the year - as it would be unsafe without firefighters. "This isn’t our preferred course of action but unfortunately this is what’s required to bring Airservices to the table," he said on the Today show.
