In addition to the battery assembly plant, which Magna said would support Ford F-150s and other models in the future, the company also announced it is dedicating 120,000 square feet at its exteriors plant in Guelph, Ont., to support moulding and welding for electric vehicles. Magna said the expansions are driven by new business awards from automakers, but added that the Ontario provincial government would contribute $23.6 million in grants to support training programs.Article content
