The Chinese-Australian community in Sydney and other cities will be celebrating the Lunar New Year over the coming weeks.

The Chinese Garden Of Friendship in Sydney will be hosting events. There will also be celebrations in every other capital city.Traditional Lunar New Year festivities include the exchange of "red packets" of money, fireworks and lion dances. Divers wearing Chinese traditional dragon costumes perform an underwater lion dance at the aquarium in Seaworld Ancol, Jakarta, Indonesia.
