The Lotus Electre is the British brand's first production EV and it's coming to Malaysia very soon. With up to 905hp of power and weighing over 2000kg, Colin Chapman will be rolling in his grave.

in Malaysia, here comes another electric SUV from another British car brand. The Lotus Electre is coming to Malaysia very soon and it’s the brand’s first-ever production EV and its first-ever SUV.

Across the board, the Electre uses 22″ wheels with Pirelli P-Zero 275/40 tyres for the front and 315/35 tyres for the rear. The base model gets a “silver diamond-turned forged” alloy design while the range-topping R model gets gloss black forged alloy rims. Despite being a high-performance electric SUV, the Lotus Electre doesn’t lack practical features. It has a massive 688-litre boot which you can access hands-free and it can be expanded up to 1,532 litres with the rear seats folded down. If that’s not enough, there’s even space for a front trunk with a respectable 46-litre capacity.
