A person is believed to have started attacking people with a knife and was then shot by police on the north side of the bridge, according to witnesses

Craig Heathcote, who was walking across the bridge at the time, told Sky News:"I reached the north side and someone came running towards me saying 'get out of the way, someone's got a knife'.
