THE final report on the plane crash at Bandar Elmina in Shah Alam will be released by Aug 16, the Dewan Rakyat was told.It has been sent to the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia , the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s accident/incident data reporting, the United States’ National Transportation Safety Board , Koperasi Amanah Pelaburan Berhad as the owner of the plane and Jet Valet Sdn Bhd as the operator of the plane.
“The final report will be released latest on Aug 16, after the draft of the final report is commented and checked by respective agencies and bodies,” said Loke in a written reply to a question by Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Abd Muttalib who asked for the latest update regarding investigations on the plane crash.
On Aug 17 last year, 10 people, including eight onboard a light aircraft, were killed after it crashed near the Elmina township in Selangor.The others were pilots Shahrul Kamal Roslan and Heikal Aras Abdul Azim, and passengers Khairil Azwan Jamaludin, Shaharul Amir Omar, Mohamad Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi, Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki and Idris Abdol Talib @ Ramali.
The preliminary findings of the investigation into the crash of the Beechcraft Model 390 Premier 1 flying from Langkawi to Subang also determined that the crew was competent in all aspects and that the aircraft had a valid airworthiness certificate and “had been maintained in compliance with regulations.
