Loke denies proposal to appoint Jeck Seng as new KTMB chairman FMTNews
Transport minister Loke Siew Fook will meet with MACC chief Azam Baki on Tuesday to discuss reports said to have been ignored by JPJ.
KUALA LUMPUR: Transport minister Loke Siew Fook has denied rumours of a proposal to appoint Tanjung Piai MP Wee Jeck Seng as the new chairman of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd .“Where did you get that news from? I have not received any information on this,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the Maritime Law and Business Conference 2023 at a hotel here today.“So far, I have not been informed of any such proposal,” she said.
Asked for updates on the Penang light rail transit project, he said the finance ministry has called for a meeting with MRT Corp some time next week. He said the relevant ministries and agencies will later meet with the finance ministry to look at the funding model and make a decision.
