This woman is threatening to sue Starbucks after staff misspelled her name as 'babi'. Full story here:
It’s easy to mess up people’s names, but it’s also a big mistake to do so. And it seems this particular branded coffee shop got one particular customer’s name wrong in the worst way possible.
Bavitra Ramachandran had recently visited a chain store of the coffee shop in Sunway Velocity Mall for a drink. Unfortunately, thanks to a misunderstanding, staff there got her name wrong. Most would have let it slide, had it been a simple mistake. However, it seems they somehow changed her name into an insult.Apparently, Bavitra had gone to the store with her husband and he had been the one to order them a drink.
” one comment read. But another pointed out that as “babi” was a Malay word, it was difficult to believe they hadn’t realised spelling someone’s name as “babi” would have no consequences.Bavitra’s Facebook is privatised, as such strangers are unable to see her posts. But, others have been reposting the photo on her behalf. For now, Bavitra’s next move is unknown. We’re not certain if Bavitra will truly go through with her promise.
