But then her grandfather, who is based in the US got sick and her parents couldn't afford to fly her and her sibling back to the US. "I was forced to work because I wanted to go back to the States," Liza said."This is Me." "I was just stating facts, breaking down my journey so people would understand where I am, at what point I am in my life right now."
"I was literally saying, I started as a child. Hindi ako nagkaroon ng chance, ng pagkakataon na mag-grow into myself as an adult. I didn't get to experience things normal kids get to experience because I started working at an early age," Liza explained. According to Liza, she initially didn't feel the need to do the one-on-one with the King of Talk but "felt I needed to defend myself" when "it was getting so noisy [and] so many thoughts and opinions were coming in." — LA, GMA Integrated News
