When Volodymyr Zelenskyy started his virtual tour of world parliaments, including Australia’s, back in the early days of the war, no-one was really predicting that the conflict would drag on this long. He’ll head home with a commitment from the Americans to supply a Patriot missile battery, something the Ukrainians have long been asking for.It’s a public display at a crucial moment of the esteem in which he is held by the US and by extension much of the world.
