Nationals leader David Littleproud has announced the opposition’s plan to resurrect the Australian Agriculture Visa, in a bid to rejuvenate regional communities.
Nationals Party leader David Littleproud has announced plans to revive the scrapped Australian Agricultural Visa, arguing “common sense” solutions are needed to rebalance immigration.
Citing the need for a balance in immigration, Mr Littleproud criticised the Labor government for neglecting housing supply and exacerbating urban woes. “What we’ll also be announcing is the return of the ag visa – and that’s a dedicated visa towards agriculture and this is to make sure we’re also getting the balance right in regional Australia,” he said.
