DAGUPAN CITY – Mayor Marc Brian C. Lim is keen on limiting the entry of public utility vehicles with this city now under general community quarantine (GCQ).

– Mayor Marc Brian C. Lim is keen on limiting the entry of public utility vehicles with this city now under general community quarantine .The office of the Land Transportation and Franchising Regulatory Board has already furnished the city with a list of routes and the number of units which will be allowed to open in the city.

Lim disclosed that only about nine passenger busses, 10 UV-Express and at least more than 50 jeepneys are in the list for approval, and at least five jeepneys will be allotted each for the Downtown, Eastern and Bonuan routes, depending on the recommendation of the Public Order and Safety Office. A special permit to travel is yet to be issued by the LTFRB which requires approval or a clearance from the Local Government Units in each town and city in the province. Bernard Tuliao, head of the Alliance of United Transport Organizers Province-wide Pangasinan said the LTFRB will be processing their applications on a first-come, first-served basis. Tuliao appealed that the 3,525 members of AUTOPRO Pangasinan be allowed to travel on a rotational basis instead of the LTFRB giving only limited special permits to travel.
