Photo by THE CANADIAN PRESSIranian-Canadians shouldn’t expect an apology from Liberal MP Rob Oliphant. The MP for Don Valley West was asked for one in the House of Commons on Wednesday for his actions on Saturday and didn’t give one.
Oliphant was one of several politicians attending a massive rally called For Iran at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena. The more than 15,000 in attendance heard from politicians, activists and more, all in support of a free and democratic Iran. Yet when the Trudeau government was criticized from the stage for not listing Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp as a terrorist group, Oliphant stormed out.
