The Liberal Party’s prospects at the Fadden by-election on July 15 will be “hurt” by the scandals surrounding departing member Stuart Robert, according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
Mr Clennell’s remarks come after whistleblower Anthony Daly made bombshell claims in a five-page affidavit, including allegations that Synergy 360 planned to send funds to Mr Robert in exchange for his help in winning government contract.
“The Opposition Leader was also attempting to dampen expectations when he spoke of the party’s prospect at the Fadden by-election in less than a fortnight’s time,” Mr Clennell said.
