In Michele Mandel’s column regarding the murder of Holly Jones , she states that the Jones family needs support from everyone to protest the release of Holly’s murderer. It’s an outrage that anyone who commits murder is even eligible to apply for parole after 25 years. Anyone who commits murder should be sent to prison for the rest of his life, with no chance of ever being granted parole. Instead of the ridiculous 25 years to life, the penalty should be 100 years.
While becoming a father is automatic upon their child’s birth, dads, on the other hand, must earn ‘their stripes’ every day. Being willing to assume that challenge is the key to becoming a dad, if that is what you want to become. If you were fortunate enough to have been raised by a dad, you will have already seen the attributes that you will want to emulate.
