Yet she never uttered a word to taxpayers or remarked on Justin Trudeau’s “costly political gimmicks” until he warned her she was out as finance minister.
It is suggested that Trump tariffs would have a significant effect on Canada’s economy. I can’t imagine the even greater impact of imposing export taxes on oil, uranium and potash.Given the Liberal’s 33 per cent of the popular vote and 47 per cent of seats in Parliament in the last election, I would say the American definition of “mandate” is more accurate.A look back at U.S. presidential mandates from the past makes for fascinating reading, but I doubt Donald Trump’s thinking is that nuanced.

It has contributed to the poverty of generations of Newfoundlanders and First Nations of Labrador.
