What about the wannabe politicians who tell us they understand our predicament and that the party they are running for will help us? Politicians, in fact, never put anything in writing, aside from perhaps lies. As per their party field guides who tell them how to act and who to talk to and who not to talk to, how to run away from any confrontations with upset constituents, how to block any communication with concerned citizens, even how to claim chewing gum on expense accounts.
It’s time for us to look at how we vote and who we vote for at all levels of government. Traditional ways have failed us miserably. Many of the politicians who we have voted for over the years have failed us. And that includes the current three levels of governments of the day –federal, provincial and municipal.
