Canadian politicians voted to oust David Johnston’s recommendation against a public inquiry, suggesting a public hearing process. Politicians are posturing on this matter rather than considering a hearing could take 12 to 16 months and legislation requiring foreign agents to register is needed now, to break the cycle of election interference. Canadians don’t need to watch politicians squabble about issues other than address the need to protect our democracy from outside authoritarian influence.
Please try againWhy do we have bike lanes? For the third time this spring I have nearly been run over by a cyclist on the sidewalk, while there was a perfectly usable bike lane right there. Almost all of the cyclists in my neighbourhood still use the sidewalk anyway. And many of them say when you remind them it is a sideWALK, they flip you the bird. Nice use of taxpayer dollars, council. Backed up traffic in one lane and cyclists who don’t care.
