Letters July 13, 2023: What happened to Seniors' Day at Stampede? yyc
Plain and simple, the blame for Canada’s inadequacy in defence spending rests squarely on the shoulders of Justin Trudeau and his federal Liberal government. While serving in the capacity of a combat soldier in the Canadian army, neither was former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau a huge advocate of Canada’s military, as noted by myself. One could just chalk it up as simple … like father, like son.
In these days of catering to and recognizing minority groups of every description, this seems like a slap in the face to seniors who have, for many years, supported the Stampede and this city in many ways. What’s the problem? We failed to spend enough money, perhaps? Anyway, thanksHold on A company help line states the following: ‘Your call is important to us, but because of a high volume of calls, your wait time might be five days.’ The message has now been replaced using A.I. technology and reads: ‘All our A.I. units are busy with other callers, your wait time is now six days.’ God help us.
