LARRY SYLVESTERThe NHL should reconsider the actual value of having a five-minute overtime frame plus a shootout to decide a winner during the regular season. Just go back to how it was with the win, draw or loss scenario. Deciding a winner via a shootout is crap. A team could out-play the other team in regulation time and lose in the shootout. Keep the overtime session to the playoffs. It’s more exciting for both the fans and the players.
I tune them out. Other than a pale website there are no measurable offerings that address the economy and reducing debt, private investment — for without investment there’s no new jobs. With health care being overfunded, the other key issue is crime. Will the NDP address government spending, come clean on a potential PST, user fees and questions of defunding the police? Notley, stop hiding behind headlines. We don’t need noise, we need your action plans.
