What about the birds and small animals?
I’m so outraged at all the trees cut down along the highway, especially when we are having a climate crisis and need to increase our green space! Who in their right mind thought this was a good idea? What about all the birds that fly nightly from Still Creek? This was a safe landing spot for them in our concrete jungle.
Not to mention all the other small animals that probably called that home. I am sickened every time I drive down that section of the highway. It’s like driving through a cemetery.📢 SOUND OFF: What are your favourite greenspaces in Burnaby? Should the city be doing more to protect trees? What can be done to increase the urban tree canopy?
