Then, after another brief stint he disappeared until the Christmas party. He returned briefly in January and disappeared until the Valentine party. It became a running joke; only someone with “issues” would think you could rarely attend, achieve little or nothing educationally, and pass. How ridiculous!Fast forward to the 21st century, where increasing numbers of students have poor attendance, barely meet minimal standards, and everyone passes. Schools have become cultures of mediocracy, with “don’t worry, be happy” classrooms and Mickey Mouse courses that leave many students unprepared for the real world.

British educational specialist/adviser Sir Ken Robinson said: “If you are not prepared to be wrong, you’ll never come up with anything original. By the time students become adults they have lost that capacity. Education systems are where mistakes are the worst things you can make. The result is we are educating people out of their creative capacities.”
