Leeds Rhinos are set to be represented in the Halifax Panthers squad this weekend.
Two members of Leeds Rhinos ' 21-man squad have been named in the extended squad of dual-registration partners Halifax Panthers this weekend - including halfback Jack Sinfield. Fax take on Doncaster in the Championship this Sunday, with three Leeds players in contention to be involved.
Leon Ruan, also part of Rohan Smith's squad to take on St Helens this Friday, and Ned McCormack, are also named in Liam Finn's side. But it is the inclusion of Sinfield that has raised eyebrows after playing in the Rhinos' last two Super League games. Sinfield was selected ahead of Matt Frawley for the club's victory over London Broncos and the pair played together in the defeat to Catalans Dragons, with Brodie Croft injury. Croft is available for selection tonight and is expected to return to the side, though who he partners has been a talking point in the days building up to the contest.
However, Sinfield's inclusion in Halifax's squad would seem to suggest that Frawley will be given the nod when the team news arrives on Friday evening. It's a decision that would likely split the fanbase, with many keen to see the son of Kevin Sinfield given an extended run in the side. The 19-year-old has played 13 times for the Rhinos in the early stages of his career and signed a new contract last year. Meanwhile, Frawley, an off-season recruit from Canberra, has come in for some criticism during the opening rounds of the season.
