Was it enough to crack the roster? He’ll know by 5 p.m. Monday.
“Had a good camp,” coach Sheldon Keefe said of Malgin, who tied Nylander for the team lead in goals. “He obviously produced, and that’s a big part of who he is and what he does. “He’s also competitive, hard on the puck. He forechecked when it was time to forecheck. If you’re him and coming in, and have a checklist of things you wanted to get accomplished , I think he did a good job accomplishing them.”
Malgin skated mostly on a line with Nylander and Adam Gaudette, who didn’t hit the scoresheet Saturday but was a factor with his physical play.
