LBS Bina Group Berhad executive chairman Tan Sri Lim Hock San has been awarded the “Ir” title, joining the ranks of Malaysian professional engineers.
An Ir must be registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia and licensed to practise engineering in Malaysia.
"With his vast experience and invaluable contributions to the engineering and construction industry, he has directly uplifted our nation in the development sector,” said Ir Dr Megat Zuhairy. Lim, 64, graduated with first class honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Wales in 1982, after which he joined the family business which at the time included lorry transportation and construction.
