Skuad terjun negara memasang impian untuk menambah seorang lagi atlet dalam program Road to Gold, namun hanya selepas mereka berjaya melayakkan diri ke Sukan Olimpik Paris 2024.
Ketika ini, Datuk Pandelela Rinong dan Nur Dhabitah Sabri menyertai 15 atlet yang tersenarai dalam program RTG, projek yang digarap untuk meraih emas pertama negara di Sukan Olimpik Paris.
Bagaimanapun penerjun berusia 29 tahun itu perlu membuktikan kredibilitinya dalam Kejohanan Terjun Dunia di Fukuoka, Jepun pada 14 hingga 30 Julai depan dengan cuba untuk melayakkan diri ke Sukan Olimpik Paris. Bagaimanapun Mae Chan menjelaskan situasi berbeza untuk skuad lelaki memandangkan tahap mereka masih lagi belum mencapai tahap yang memuaskan untuk diserap masuk ke dalam program RTG.
“Generasi penerjun lelaki ketika ini, terutama Ooi Tze Liang mungkin layak atau tidak ke Olimpik Paris kerana darjah kesukaran lelaki amat tinggi.
