SEREMBAN: Ferry operators must ensure there are more trips plying the route between Langkawi and the mainland during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (Lima), says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

"Many people will visit Langkawi during Lima and they should make the necessary preparations to cater to the higher demand.

"I have also been made to understand that all booths at Lima have been fully taken up as we are having it after four years," he said here on Sunday , adding that there were already sufficient flights to the island. He said although there were enough flights, airline operators could also look at scheduling more flights to cater to the higher demand.Loke said he would also meet Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan on Monday to coordinate the final preparations for Lima.
