Several landslides and soil erosion incidents were reported in Baguio City over the weekend amid heavy rains brought by inclement weather.

According to Claire Lacanilao’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” about four families in Barangay Pacdal were evacuated after a heavy downpour triggered a landslide at around 8 p.m. on Saturday.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council conducted a geo-tagging assessment to prevent any further incidents. Equipment for clearing operations was also readied.“Knowing sa Baguio City ay may mga kahoy, ingat tayo at kung kailangan lumikas muna handa ang kapulisan at pwedeng gamitin ang mobile natin,” Baguio City Police Office public information officer Lieutenant Angeline Dongpaen said.

“Kanina binaha nanaman kami. Ngayon baha na naman po. Dalawang beses po, kalilinis lang, tapos maglilinis nanaman,” a resident said.
