ILIGAN CITY—Lanao del Sur Gov. Mamintal Adiong Jr. cheated death on Friday afternoon as he survived an ambush in Maguing town, Lanao del Sur.

A report from the Bukidnon police that was obtained by the Inquirer said Adiong and Tabao were brought to the Bukidnon Provincial Hospital in nearby Kalilangan town for medical treatment at around 4 p.m. on Friday.
