Senator Panfilo Lacson on Sunday vowed to ask the Department of Health (DOH) why it is purchasing expensive personal protective equipment (PPEs) that can be bought at a lower price by private organizations.
Lacson said he will take up the issue when the Senate convenes as a committee of the whole on Tuesday, May 19 to discuss updates on the COVID-19 situation in the country.
Sayang ,” he lamented. Lacson said he too doubts DOH officials’ pronouncement there is already a “flattening of the curve” especially since the agency has yet to conduct mass testing.
