PUTRAJAYA: Some 1,000 employees from both the civil service and private companies are at the Labour Day celebration at Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) here on Monday (May 1).
The Labour Day 2023 celebration's theme is"Pekerja Pemangkin Wadah Malaysia Madani", or"Workers are the Catalyst of Malaysia Madani".
Some private companies such UMW, MRT Corp and Aeon Co Bhd are first-time attendees at this event, which was organised by the Human Resources Ministry. All participants were entertained by music and dance performances to celebrate their contribution as workers in various industries. The event was graced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Human Resources Minister V. Sivakumar and Foreign Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir.Article type: free
